How
does the ILCM work?
The
Issues
Times
are difficult for community and voluntary groups. There
is a continuing decline in funding available to us all:
whilst grant funding will remain important, it is likely
to account for a progressively smaller share of income for
community and voluntary groups.
The
public sector is increasingly commissioning the voluntary
and community sector (VCS) to deliver services rather than
providing grant funding – And yes, there are huge
opportunities, but there are risks….
There
is likely to be a progressive decrease in public sector
spending – government wants more, for less, and there
has been a decline in philanthropic giving.
The
Problem
We
all want to improve what we do, but there is no over-arching
road-map for groups to develop their capability –
there are too many training courses, e-mails, and too much
junk mail! And government and funders dictate outcomes and
quality measures (and they are all different!!).
The
Solution
“The
Inter-Link Capability Model” ILCM bridges the gap
- and gives you a road map to ramp-up what you do, and even
if you don’t want to grow, it’s there to make
life easier and give you confidence in what you do.
