Getting Accredited

Induction can consist of being invited to an event, hearing about ILCM by word of mouth, or finding us on the Internet.

In order to prepare for Health Check activities you will be provided with a preparation checklist (and other documentation). You will be asked to look through these documents and make some notes.

The Health Check process is, in effect, a 'walkthrough' of what your group or organisation does with one of our assessors. It's best if this is carried out near your group's filing system!

Action Planning starts during the Health Check session but can continue afterwards, onthe phone or by email. The end result is an Action Plan that is used to increase your Health Check scores and to look for ways that will help your organisation to do what it does more effectively.

We work with you to see what support is required in the form of training, coaching or mentoring activities.

We then follow up with you to look at what you've done and support you in embedding them into what you do.

Accreditation involves receiving your Certificate and your details being loaded on the ILCM Database to show the level your organisation has achieved. This tells funders and commissioning bodies that you have achieved this Level.

You're there! You can also use our kite-mark on your letterheads or website.
