The
Process
Induction
typically consists of being invited to an event where
the purpose and benefits of the model may be explained,
and the organisation can enrol with the relevant programme
of support activities.
In
order to prepare for health check activities the organisation
is provided with a preparation checklist (and optionally
other documentation), so that the health check will
be effective and provide the organisation with useful
outputs.
The
Health Check process is, in effect, a structured walkthrough
of the organisation’s basic capability. This
requires the ILCM Health Check documentation set as
well as access to the organisation’s filing
system.
Action
Planning starts during the Health Check session, and
is carried on by the Assessor and Facilitator once
the Health Check meeting comes to a close (in order
to flesh out the action points). The result is an
Action Plan that the organisation may then use to
further improve its Health Check scores.
During
this phase, the organisation uses the Action Plan
to make any changes to its systems or ways of working.
This may be supplemented by training, coaching or
mentoring activities
Follow
up requires that the assessor (and optionally facilitator)
return to inspect the changes that have been made
and to update the Health Check documentation accordingly.
The resulting (increased) score, if sufficient, will
result in sufficient marks for accreditation to be
awarded to the organisation.
Accreditation
involves receiving your Certificate and your details
being amended on the ILCM Database to show the level
your organisation has achieved. This tells funders
and commissioning bodies that you have achieved this
Level.
